Formed in 2018, Bedsore are an Italian progressive death metal band from Rome. The quartet operate as a side-project of post-black metal ensemble SVNTH, of which three-fourths of Bedsore are members. Aside from obvious influences from fellow modern death metal bands Krypts and Venenum, Bedsore cite progressive rock groups such as Magma, King Crimson, Goblin, ELP, Genesis and Premiata Forneria Marconi as some of their most important inspirations.

Beginning as the duo of guitarist/vocalists Jacopo Gianmaria Pepe and Stefano Allegretti, Bedsore released a two-song demo in 2018, on which fellow SVNTH bandmate Rodolfo Ciuffo guested on fretless bass. Bedsore's lineup would later stabilise with the following year's addition of Ingurgitating Oblivion bassist Giulio Rimoli and Ade drummer Davide Itri. Signed to 20 Buck Spin on the strength of the demo, Bedsore released their debut, Hypnagogic Hallucinations, in 2020. The album contained re-recordings of the eight-minute epics "At the Mountains of Madness" and "Brains on the Tarmac" from their demo, and featured Assumption multi-instrumentalist Giorgio Trombino on the song "Cauliflower Growth."

Bedsore's psychedelic, classic prog-venerating death metal is comparable to Death, Morbus Chron, Sweven, Venenum, Nocturnus, Execration and Horrendous.
