Formed in 2005, Quadrivium are a symphonic black metal band from Alesund, Norway. Signed to Soulseller Records, the group began as the Arcturus-inspired studio project of multi-instrumentalists Erlend Antonsen (formerly of Nàttsòl) and Lars Jensen (of Myrkgrav), with Antonsen acting as composer and lyricist and Jensen as lead vocalist.

Bassist Svein-Ivar Sarassen joined in the wake of the group's debut EP Origo, appearing on Quadrivium's 2008 album Adversus, which also featured guest vocals from Bjørnar Nilsen of Vulture Industries. Jensen subsequently took a hiatus from music and was replaced by Leif-Johan Godø (of Blåhø), who was joined by Taranis vocalist Attila Bakos. The new lineup took shape even further with the addition of drummer Étienne Gallo (of Negativa and Augury), and the quintet released the sophomore LP Methocha in 2012, which featured guest appearances by guitarists Donovan Sonnier, Carl August Tidemann (of Winds and formerly of Arcturus), Thor-Axel Eriksen (of Mindtech) and multi-instrumentalist Markus Skroch (of Claret and Elane). Eriksen officially joined the band in the wake of Methocha, which showed the band expanding their sound into even more progressive and technical waters.

Other than Arcturus, Quadrivium will apppeal to fans of Borknagar, Emperor, Enslaved, Winds, Age of Silence and Mirrorthrone.

Noted! Thank you

-------------
Take me down, to the underground
Won't you take me down, to the underground
Why oh why, there is no light
And if I can't sleep, can you hold my life
