From Dream Theater's album entitled Awake (1994). The Mirror is probably the sharpest song there; it is like a razor blade. Whilst, Space-Dye Vest is as mellow as a soft cloth. See where this poll goes... |

both My favorite DT album. Mirror leads into Lie smoothly, making them into one coherent song.

I'm a voter of both...probably their strongest album. Vocally maybe one of two or three of Labries best performances. -------------

I like both. But I always had a very special feeling by Space-Dye Vest. Besides I love this album. It's my fave or the second one of the band, depending of my mood at the time. The other is Metropolis Part 2 - Scenes from a Memory. So, Space-Dye Vest.

Space-Dye Vest was Kevin Moore's only contribution to "Awake". He checked out (after Images and Words) and was no longer interested in DT. The Mirror for me. |

My emphasis was on your "pretending" as if you're seeing such a thing very rarely or the first time. There are fundamental differences in how we perceive things. And that is who we are. I can accept that. I also think that you're a nice person. But, for instance, you had said "Dimmu Borgir shouldn't be in a symphonic metal list," and I explained that they should be. You agreed but said that it was just a nuance. How the hell can a band's exclusion from a list where they deserve to take place a nuance? This is a MAJOR issue. You say you agree with me but our dissention was just a nuance. Sorry, I'm not buying that. Anyway, have a nice day. Our discussions with you are pretty much like yours with Paul. Really. I'll not be hard on you, as I beat virtually anybody when it comes to memory. Let me explain, then. Perhaps you can remember. I said here that "I don't care about the idols of my idols", and the like, several times. And I explained my stance/perception about this. Beethoven's idol was Handel, but I like Beethoven a lot more. This was where the discussion began. I also gave similar examples before, and actually the same included: The Pink Floyd thing. You might not remember them, cool. If we go on like this, it will be really unpleasant. No, we won't insult each other. But it would be tiring and we could be abrasive to each other. Voted for Space Dye Vest, which is probably my fav from that album. Awake never did much for me honestly though, it feels a big step down from I&W, and i am guessing that Moore's lack of input could be a contributing factor. |
