Bekor Qilish is the one-man avant-garde black metal project of Italian multi-instrumentalist/vocalist Andrea Bruzzone, based in Milan. The band's name is an Uzbek term for "cancellation," in keeping with the project's nihilist-inspired themes and influence from Italian philosopher Emanuele Severino. Bruzzone appeared on the scene in 2022, making his debut on I, Voidhanger Records with the LP Throes of Death from the Dreamed Nihilism, which featured an array of guest musicians including Cosmic Putrefaction's Gabriele Gramaglia, Gorguts' Colin Marston, Sadist's Romain Goulon and Fleshgod Apocalypse's Eugene Ryabchenko. Bruzzone's synthesizer-heavy approach to progressive black metal has earned him comparisons to Vertebra Atlantis, Krallice, Skáphe, Ihsahn, Esoctrilihum, Obscura and even Kevin Moore-era Dream Theater.
