NO means N,O.

I wanted to cover three letters, but there were especially far too many P's that I wanted to include (more than 25), so I'll just do N and O and do P separately. After I'm done with the bands, I'll start on artists.

Feel free to vote for a band in this list that you enjoy no matter how limited your knowledge, and despite how many you might enjoy. I have opted to not make this multiple votes, but one of course one can mention all one likes (and even dislikes) in a post.

This has t least number of albums that I am into of my lists so far, but I will happily go with OOIOO's Taiga. I also have been very into Le Orme's Contrappunti. As for the North Sea Radio Orchestra one, I have been avoiding collaborations but that one which is a tribute to Robert Wyatt's Rock Bottom. RYM has it listed as live but I thought it was a studio album.

"Contrappunti" is one I just listened to the other night and my pick. The Nucleus and Out Of Focus are great as well.

Without hesitation, Nuova Era's Return to the Castle. That's the kind of comeback album I like to experience!

^^^^ Neurosis is hella heavy, makes the Partridge Family sound like easy listening bubblegum sunshine pop by comparison. Never mind, bad example. It is something I like to put on now and then. I have yet to listen to that full album

^^ I have yet to hear that Nuova Era comeback. Will remember to check it out.

^ I really like NSRO's takes on Wyatt (great bonus tracks too).

Been quite a long time since I last listened to that album, but I really like it

"Maggio" is magic.

Except that Rat Roads is not an album per se.... It's an archival release containing the leftovers tracks from Four Letter Monday Afternoon.

let's just stay above the moral melee
prefer the sink to the gutter
keep our sand-castle virtues
content to be a doer
as well as a thinker,
prefer lifting our pen
rather than un-sheath our sword

Nucleus - Roots is stunning. Love the Le Orme album as well, and Opeth's peak album is still great (but I never listen to it).
