This band was suggested by puzart in  https://www.progarchives.com/Forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=109783" rel="nofollow - late December 2016  based on their debut album 'Tiny Drop' from April of that year. That suggestion received no response, which was no surprise really since it contained hardly any info about the band and was just one of a whole avalanche of suggestions that were posted by him at around that time.

Anyhow, there are now several more releases to consider, the original thread is locked, so let's start again. Smile

DANDELION CHARM are a husband and wife duo from Newhaven, East Sussex, UK who combine prog, folk and rock influences to create a blend of intricate harmonies, soaring melodies, excellent musicianship and heartfelt lyrics.

The band sprang to life in 2015, being the brainchild of John and Clare FOWLER. John sings and also plays guitars, bass, drums, and keyboards, with Clare writing the lyrics and providing further vocals. They describe themselves as "Like BUCKINGHAM and NICKS without the aggro".

The themes they deal with in their songs are all about aspects of real life, such as fear and self-doubt, optimism and determination, family, relationships and addiction. John brings over twenty years of song-writing and production experience to DANDELION CHARM whilst Clare is a long-time visual artist and performer, and her love of storytelling manifests itself in her heartfelt lyrics and emotive delivery.

Their studio work has received praise from seasoned reviewers across a range of genres, from prog to hard-rock to folk, since John creates very much of a 'band' sound with the skillful mixing together of his various instruments. The duo also regularly play live gigs, and the shows are about a shared experience. Their intention is to welcome the audience into an intriguing world of compelling stories and intricate harmony.

DANDELION CHARM's debut album 'Tiny Drop' was released in 2016, followed by a five-track EP 'Riding The Flood' in 2018, and a second album 'Maybe Dreamers' in 2019, which was released at an official launch party at The Brunswick live music & events venue, Hove, Sussex, UK on the 2nd of November of that year. They released a third album album called 'Scream Inside The Tear' in October 2023, featuring 13 new songs. The album was promoted via a five date tour in November 2023 supporting the Austrian band  https://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=4349" rel="nofollow - BLANK MANUSCRIPT .

The new album explores topics that have heavy themes, such as life after death, the struggle with mental health and the heart-wrenching emotions that accompany loss. However, it also touches on the beauty of being alive and finding pockets of joy amidst life's unpredictable chaos. Highly recommended listening for fans of bands such as RENAISSANCE, MOSTLY AUTUMN and SOLSTICE.

That's a tough one.
Maybe the prog-folk team give them a listen first.

Thanks for the effort, yam. I see on AwesomeProg they're labelled as prog folk, so I'll take them to the team.
