A hard choice between two great voices (maybe the guitarist in John will play a part too, that's for you to decide). The question is about their solo output, but it's clear that Zombies and APP can also influence decisions.
As in the Walker/Buckley poll, opinions, favorite songs, and other candidates in the same range are welcome!

Music is my first love, And it will be my last, Music of the future, Music of the past..... I have one album by John Miles and three albums by Colin Blunstone, but John Miles' album is the one I listen to the most, so I'm voting Both again.  Smile

I do love The Zombies and I've always enjoyed Colin's vocals. I have his first two first albums, and I'm quite fond of them both. One Day in particular is very nice from start to finish. Actually so is Ennismore, really. Caroline Goodbye, Misty Roses, I Don't Believe in Miracles and Andorra were the first four songs that came too mind. All wonderful.

I don't really know anything about John Miles. He's just a name I've registered without having any musical memory of ever having heard (but I googled him and learned his most well known song is titled "Music").

^Just checked my RYM-account, and found out I've listened to both Rebel and Zaragon a few years ago. Gave them both three stars...

Playing "Music" now and recognizing it as well. It's quite nice:)

Btw: I hardly know Alan Parsons Project.

Rebel by John Miles is great especially High Fly and Music. I don't know Colin Blunstone's music but back in the day (1973) he was being pushed as a 'pop artist' and was quite liked by teenage girls. (would post an image but can't get it to work but comes up on google)
No vote.

^^ A schoolmate present me with Rebel

...and a friend introduce me to

...where Colin is the singer. Much later, I hear this compilation of his early solo stuff. I guess this song is pretty "teenage oriented", but also a quality piece of songwriting, if you ask me.

You need to put a remedy to that! I'm joking of course, but if interested (a big if), both Rebel and Zaragon are good starters, I think.

I will try and listen as soon as I can (find some time). Smile

As good as Colin Blunstone is, I consider John Miles to be one of the "All Time Great Rock Vocalists".

^ John left some memorable pieces of rock music, one favorite of mine (including superb gtr solo) is this
