I saw it on the news earlier. I'm sure it will be a great day, but my preference is to remember Ozzy & Sabbath as he/they were back in the day, which can simply not be recreated in 2025. In all honesty, I am more interested in listening to the new stuff.

That sounds awfully miserable, I know, but Ozzy hasn't been capable of a decent show for many a year now.

Oh, I definitely hear you, Steve. And I'd be way more cynical if it were a full tour. But this is kind of a neat idea I think, to do a one-off for their hometown. I don't know much about Birmingham, but I'm assuming that all these bands and fans coming will be a nice windfall for the local coffers of food workers and hoteliers, etc. They'll probably do a 30-minute set given all the support bands, and the local fans will have a thrill.

But from the artistic perspective, I remember them as they were in the day too. Just like I said in the Stones thread. These bands have their "relevant artist" period, and then they have their Vegas show period for ever after.  But, if I'm lucky enough to catch a stream of it over here, I'll suspend my cynicism and try to enjoy seeing the four of them one more time, as I did with Zeppelin in '07.

"It’s been an incredible journey, but it’s only fitting that it ends here, where it all began in Aston. It’s great to be honoured by your fellow musicians and at the same time support good causes. None of this would’ve been possible without Ozzy, Geezer, and Bill. What we created together was bigger than any one of us, and I’ll always be grateful for that."

Late to the Ozzy party...LOL. My spousal unit and I thought about making the trip across the pond to see this, but kinda glad we are not. I've heard that Ozzy is in such bad shape he will only perform a minimal set with Black Sabbath.
We will watch either a live stream or just wait for the DVD/BR or YouTube concert. I've seen Ozzy twice, first time was 1983 at US Festival, that's how I will remember his live performance....

Love Ozzy....I still think it will be epic to be there.

Not holding much respect for The Prince Of Darkness, but I'm not sureI want to see him in a wheelchair mike Phil Collins.

Wyatt is a totally different issue, though.

=============

Is Bill Ward going to be able to also play?? Confused

I saw what I thought was their final tour in 2017 I think. I even put the first song from the show I saw on my youtube channel (if you can call it that). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fzFQnA2mGK0" rel="nofollow - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fzFQnA2mGK0

Anyway, this will be good and I'm glad Bill Ward is involved. I won't make the trip but I'll either watch it if they stream it or buy the dvd.

A cool message from Bill. It really is more about a personal closing of the circle for them than a standard-motives gig. For the fans too, I suppose. I really hope Bill and Ozzy are able to keep up and enjoy one more set. I know Tony and Geez will be ready.

Tony sent this out today. Almost time. I would love to watch it, but I'm not dropping $30 for the stream. If anyone does, give us your review here!

I saw some audience video that was pretty rough, but I still enjoyed. Hopefully some better video leaks soon.

Tool doing "Hand of Doom" was cool.

Not the pro-shot release, but if you can't wait.

A little rough, a couple mistakes, they're old, hype. And still the goosebumps. Loved it. Loved to see Bill kick ass one more time. F yeah.
