Jay Danley is recognized as one of Canada’s foremost composers/ guitarists / musicians,
with hundreds of recordings to his name. Making his reputation primarily in the worlds of
Latin and Jazz music, Danley also has an extensive background in rock, experimental and
other diverse forms of music.
His latest release “Great Googly Moogly! Music Inspired By Frank Zappa” is a result of “…a
deep dive into the elements of Zappa’s music that I have always loved. His harmonic
structures, the syncopation and the broad range of styles and sounds he used have always
fascinated me, and I have created new original music with all of these elements.”
