Labyrinthine Heirs are an American progressive black metal quartet from Austin, Texas, fronted by newcomer vocalist Evan Sadler, guitarist Samuel Kang (of tech-death group Cathexis), bassist Bryan Camphire (formerly of avant-metallers Bloody Panda) and drummer Anthony Brownlow (of doom bands Umman Manda and Beast Mountain). Their date of formation is currently unknown, though the quartet has been playing live since at least February 2024.

With Sadler's raspy whispers and gurgles moving across a blackened bed of Bolero-like post-metallic repetition, Labyrinthine Heirs successfully manage "to marry the sound of Touch and Go Records artists like the Jesus Lizard and Shellac with that of Celtic Frost and Virus," to quote Sadler's mission statement. His lyrics are as esoteric as their sources, referencing Jiddu Krishnamurti, the Cloud of Unknowing and a vision of Gnosticism through the lens of Sadler's personal concerns. Labyrinthine Heirs' eponymous debut LP was mastered by Colin Marston and released by I, Voidhanger Records in 2025.

A band that will unite fans of Veilburner, Valborg and Oranssi Pazuzu.
