A few years ago, I would have voted Relayer, but I think Fragile has become my favorite Yes album. But they are both in my Yes top 3. Edit: But I think I pressed Relayer by mistake:) |

Fragile, for having "South Side of the Sky", "Mood for a Day", and "Heart of the Sunrise". I do love Relayer, but it's one of those albums I have to be in a certain mood before I listen to it. At least Relayer didn't have that BIZARRE booklet that came with Fragile. |

| Big fan of both these albums. I love every moment of Relayer. Fragile has a couple of solo pieces that I'm not to fond of ( Wakeman and Anderson). It's for that reason, Relayer edges Fragile. I think Relayer is Yes's most adventurous release. It also has Steve Howe's best electric guitar playing. |

Relayer for me. It was the first Yes album that I got into and it's the one I return to most often. My three favourite Yes albums are Close To The Edge, Fragile and The Yes Album. There's so much keyboard w**kery on Going For The One and Relayer. Just my opinion. But it's why I had so much trouble with ELP. Voted Fragile. I used to wonder if BTO called their 1974 release "Not Fragile" as a counter to "Fragile". Actually, I heard that they did. Apparently they wanted to drive home the point that there album was as far away from prog rock (and Fragile) as you could get so they called it Not Fragile. So, you guessed right (that is if what I read is to be believed and I think it sounds plausible). |

| It's pretty close for me actually especially since I think (other than 90125 and Classic Yes) these were the first two Yes albums (cassettes in my case) that I bought. I have to give the edge to Relayer though. |

Relayer is my favourite Yes post-Fragile album, but Fragile is my favourite Yes album. In the late 80s to early 90s, especially, it was one of my most cherished albums. ------------- Watching while most appreciating a sunset in the moment need not diminish all the glorious sunsets I have observed before. It can be much like that with music for me. |

Fragile and Close to the Edge were the two albums that got me into Yes in the first place. Relayer came somewhat later. I've always liked Relayer, but for reasons I need not go into, it has been unavailable to me for a long period, and thus I never really developed the same familiarity and fondness for this album as I have for other Yes albums, especially Fragile and Close to the Edge. Therefore, my vote goes to Fragile. I especially love "South Side of the Sky" and "The Fish (Shindleria Praematurus)". ------------- No, I know how to behave in the restaurant now, I don't tear at the meat with my hands. If I've become a man of the world somehow, that's not necessarily to say I'm a worldly man. |
