This comes from a longer list of over 100 male and female music artists that I would type as they came to mind, and then I used Rate Your Music ratings to determine which albums to choose (I did not just factor in highest-rated, but also the numbers of ratings and reviews my own way so not all will have the very highest rating there, but I did noot want to skew it more towards my favourites than my biases and thoughts would have already played in what came to mind).
This is part two, in part one I only included male artists, and I do expect to do two more. I had hoped that these list would be varied enough for most of the forum members to find and comment on something of interest at least in each poll. Feel free to vote for up to five albums from the list that you appreciate/like.
Ian Anderson: The Secret Language of Birds Jon Anderson: Olias of Sunhillow Laurie Anderson: Big Science Bobby Beausoleil (& Freedom Orchestra): Lucifer Rising Björk: Vespertine Kate Bush: Hounds of Love Richard Dawson: Peasant Brian Eno: Here Come the Warm Jets Fish: Vigil in a Wilderness of Mirrors Bo Hansson: Sagan om ringen Eddie Henderson: Realization Jimi Hendrix (Experience): Electric Ladyland Steve Hillage: Fish Rising Mike Keneally: Sluggo Geddy Lee: My Favourite Headache Nico: Desertshore Phideaux (Xavier): Doomsday Afternoon Chris Squire: Fish Out of Water Roine Stolt: The Flower King David Sylvian: Secrets of the Beehive Jannick Top: Infernal Machina Jean-Claude Vannier: L'enfant assassin des mouches Miroslav Vitous: Infinite Search Igor Wakhevitch: Hathor Frank Zappa: Hot Rats
------------- Watching while most appreciating a sunset in the moment need not diminish all the glorious sunsets I observed before. It can be much like that with music for me; immersed in experiencing the moment.

Hansson, Hillage, Phideaux, Squire, and Zappa. Today is a good day to pickle my algebra.

Listen to these at least a couple of times each year:
Kate Bush: Hounds of Love Bo Hansson: Sagan om ringen Eddie Henderson: Realization Jean-Claude Vannier: L'enfant assassin des mouches Bobby Beausoleil (& Freedom Orchestra): Lucifer Rising
Love these as well, but they get less spins:
Steve Hillage: Fish Rising Nico: Desertshore Frank Zappa: Hot Rats Miroslav Vitous: Infinite Search Igor Wakhevitch: Hathor (I can't believe I'm not voting for this, but unlike Docteur Faust I haven't actually revisited it in ages)

Hard one this. From top to bottom it's Bjork, Kate Bush, Steve Hillage, Nico, David Sylvian, Jannick Top, Frank Zappa. Kate Bush has currently most of these with just 2 votes, but chances are there will be more. I also guess Hot Rats will have enough votes without my help, so I vote for the other five.

Electric Ladyland. Then Hot Rats a distant second. The rest? Meh.
