Kitaro was one of my big loves in the 80s and I very much like that Vangelis album, but ultimately it is between two albums: Kraftwerk's The Man-Machine and Tangerine Dream's Ricochet. Kraftwerk gets my vote. ------------- Watching while most appreciating a sunset in the moment need not diminish all the glorious sunsets I have observed before. It can be much like that with music for me. |

| Edgar Froese - Pinnacles. Always liked this as a companion album to TD's Hyperborea that came out the same year. TD's is about the frozen arctic tundra while Edgar's is about the Australian outback. Both are perfect 1983 EM albums imo. |

Tough, tough list! Naturally, I own many of these. Johannes Schmoelling's Early Beginnings is really a "selected works" type of release: early demos (those that got him the Tangerine Dream gig, though he was as good as in), unused and restored (or re-recorded) pieces.
