Inspired by another thread! It Bites are one of my very favourite bands, I love all 5 of their albums, but none rate above 4 on PA. Anyone else have a similar favourite act?☺️ ------------- Heaven is waiting but waiting is Hell |

Knifeworld & Alamaailman Vasarat seem to be the only ones of mine that would qualify. Hi, I think the albums have too much funny stuff for PA folks to enjoy. But the humor is not the American TV style of needing the laugh track because it isn't funny at all! It's too fake. Or maybe we don't want any Mandy stories that are depressing. Or worse ... too many folks here probably don't like I'm not in love! A love song can not be progressive! Can you imagine a PA Admin dancing to the Wall Street Shuffle? I think we would laugh so hard and then cry! Too many Baron Samedi's here.  
Carmen is an oddity. A band from LA that does Spanish music better than some of their own bands, and mix rock into it beautifully. Sadly, for the PA standards, this is a very tough listen, because it has some serious Spanish touches in it, that drive the music ... and all you have to hear is Bullerias, and admit that is pretty hot stuff ... except for Progressive folks ... progressive folks scream with guitars, not feet and castanets!!!!! ------------- Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! there's a few for me... BJH up to XII for sure Beggar's Opera's first 3 should have at least a 4 star for me. Curved Air... Phantasmagoria, maybe? ELO's first four... none are 4 star? the wrong crowd here for Nightwish appreciation; they were a highly contentious addition at the time and I don't think that feeling has altered much... try over at Metal Storm for a more representative set of ratings. ------------- Music has always been a matter of energy to me. Glass Hammer with a 23 studio album run spanning over 30 years are totally 'unbeatable' in this regards. I stand up for their cause and on a good day with a following wind would put them in my top ten bands of all time. Currently listening to Arise (3.78). Skallagrim; Into The Breach (3.99) is their current highest rated album. PAH! |
