Happy Independance Day everyone! Unfortunately there's not much American content on this poll other than the two New York based bands Naked City and The Psychedelic Ensemble, and Ga'an based in Chicago.
There's five on here including Ga'an that I rate really high. The keyboard whisperer Lars Fredrik Froislie, Katatonia, L'Alebero Del Veleno and Zyma. I have to think about this one.

Eloy - Planets
Zyma's album is a very close second.

That's a good album, although it's been a while since i listened to it.
They've just released a new album, quite good IMO.

I guess I should know, but what is SUB 56. A subwoofer? Like like a handful of these, but I love Tale Of A Dark Fate.

I was wondering what it meant too.

I really need to spin Planets, it's been too long. Love your second pick and I'm still debating about voting for it or Lars or Ga'an. Down to those three.

Nice! The first great Katatonia album in my opinion, and best of their earlier styles before going more prog metal on The Great Cold Distance.

Discouraged Ones is my favorite from them.

Eloy > Naked City, I only know three of these.

Oops, my bad for even posting this album.
I have fond memories of private messaging with the man behind this project who was anonymous at the time. I think I called him mister. Kidding. But a very impressive concept album this one, with very detailed liner notes. I have the cd in front of me now which I believe he sent me back then. He called it a progressive-rock drama.

Nice! An organ driven album that featured a 17 year old drummer named Curt Cress who would go on to play with Passport and Triumvirat. 1970 was the year for this release.

You would have to read the intro of the SUB 60 poll. But I just did a search on here in the top rated albums section and based on that modified search I got a top 100 from 15 sub genres(SUB). I'm going 60 to 1 with the connection in each poll being that these albums all finished in the same position based on my original search. So here, all of these15 albums finished in 56th place in their respective sub-genres.

Great album and my second favourite from the early period. Such a change in direction with Discouraged Ones, and no growls anymore, or double bass drumming and more. Changed their logo too at this point.

first vote for Fire Foretellinger. I love Eloy and it's one of their best even if it fizzles out a bit (the follow up Time To Turn eclipes it for me) but that LFF album is kind of the lost Wobbler album and on a par with Dwellers Of The Deep imo.

Sorry guys, I'll post a little blurb before each poll from now on. I'm just lazy, I should be posting the sub-genres these albums are from as well. Like that's going to happen.

I’ve listened five of these. Second vote for the germans Orange Peel, ahead of Eloy.

I had planned on voting for Lars but got caught up in the American Independance Day and picked Ga'an.
