I thought I did this one before but maybe not. A brief google search only pulled up the respective albums. Both have padding in them imo but which one do you like better?

I'm much more into psychedelia than symphonic, Echoes all the way.

ELP's 'Tarkus' does it for me, the other one does not.

Both are great, but ... Echoes over Tarkus.

Echoes. Tarkus is one of my favourite ELP tracks, but I have always preferred the Floyd.

Tarkus. No doubt Floyd will win but I really like Tarkus, even a lot of the much-criticised second side.

Love them both. If a gun was held to me, Tarkus just about - mainly because of the Welcome Back My Friends version....

As a 14 year old, Tarkus was everything to me. Just the first few minutes has more creativity than 99% of so called progressive music. It's a game changer. For ELP it came naturally and insanely the album was recorded in just 2 weeks. That is the very definition of unfiltered brilliance let loose.

I love them both. I couldn't tell you which one I love more, so I'm voting "Both equally".

Echoes, but TArkus is at the same level

I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

Tarkus for me.

To be fair, the only PF album I can stand to spin is Animals. PF just doesn't "do it" for me.

Not even Wish you Were Here?!
Also the first versions of Dogs and Sheep were created along with the songs of WYWH.

An interesting matchup would be side one of Meddle vs side two of Tarkus.

Echoes is one of my all time favourites. I love Tarkus but it's not quite up there.

I ticked the both equally box. Could listen to either and enjoy. It certainly was more interesting back then.

Echoes for me. I love Tarkus too, but I can't stand the middle "mass" section.
