| While perusing the rankings for 1978 studio albums, I noticed these 3 were all together (#s 45-47) and thought this would make for an interesting poll. All 3 are currently rated between 3.76 and 3.80, and while far from the most popular artists on this site, they all still have their devoted listeners. |

Blimey Steve, this is a hard one.. three different styles, I have all three, like all three... none of them are as good as the albums which preceded them, but all have their moments. I'll go for Renaissance... ------------- Music has always been a matter of energy to me. I have not heard the Renaissance album, but I have a long history with the other two. I give the edge to Anthony Phillips, but it's a very close call. -------------

I'm probably the only one, but I actually PREFER all three to the albums that preceded them! The Geese and the Ghost and The Roaring Silence are both masterpieces, but their follow-ups are even better. Novella never really clicked with me - there's something dreary (or maybe a better word is 'off') about it. |

| When Renaissance first clicked, I think all of their albums up to and including A Song For All Seasons are great. Not my favorite of theirs, but lovely. |
