I'm curious even I reckon that I can guess the winner.

And I'd love to hear the reasons for your choice.

Very, very close on the first two choices for me. Animals isn't even a consideration for me, and it is way down the list if I were ranking all their albums.

I guess I lean Dark Side by a whisker because of the devastating emotional jolt it gave to myself and my brother growing up. It touched in a personal way and I credit David and Rick for that much more than Roger despite his lyrical talent. Wish is more consistent maybe, more refined, classier, polished, more fully realized, and perhaps is the better album of the two. But that's not the question you asked. You said "favorite."

Animals, all 3 have been my favorite at one time or another. Now it's clearly Animals.

From that list I'd have to say Wish You Were Here, tho my all time favourite Floydian opus is Meddle (for very personal reasons).

BTW 'Animals' has never been known to carry the definite article prefix.

Atom Heart Mother…but I’ll go with Animals for this one. Love all these albums though.

3) Wish You Were Here

These are also my top 3 in the entire Floyd discography.

DSotM
WYWH
Animals

WYWH has sentimental value, but DSotM is the better album overall. Animals is one creature short of a great album. What, you couldn't have added a bitter horse or cynical poultry, Roger?

^Not only that Animals suffers from what I call 'lack of Rick' - by that time he was just going through the motions and barely contributing any ideas.

I love DSotM and Animals but have developed a recent appreciation and favoritism for ASoS (A Saucerful of Secrets). What an amazing album! in 1968!!
