For me after listening to both albums (Both 5 stars IMHO) I would call the band Carptree 2.0 with some Jupiter Society tones
Band's Website https://bakelitband.se
Bakelit was formed in 2023 as a collaboration between Carl Westholm and a group of musicians from a trusted network, built around previous acts such as Carptree, Jupiter Society, and earlier projects. These are individuals with a distinct sonic identity and a clear understanding of what is needed and when. Just like the debut album "Asleep or Insane", released in 11/24/2024, the songs on "No Fear of Drowning" evolved from sessions involving unpredictable electronic machinery, eventually developing into six tracks that straddle the line between progressive art rock and electronic music. "No Fear of Drowning" is a dramatic album, with lyrics that explore the darker aspects of the human psyche, yet these are the very qualities that can make us stronger and more determined to do good. The album will be released worldwide on September 26, 2025, preceded by the singles “From the Underground” on September 5th and “Moment of Peace” on September 15th. Founder Carl Westholm, known for his work with Carptree, Jupiter Society, and Krux, has also released two albums with Hollingshead in recent years. He was part of the original line-up of the doom metal band Avatarium and has been a regular contributor to Candlemass. In 2024, he was ranked #3 on The Prog Mind's list of top keyboardists. Jonas Källsbäck, known from The Night Flight Orchestra, Gathering of Kings, and other acts, joins the line-up for the 2nd album. Bakelit’s debut single “The Coolest Place on Earth”, from Asleep or Insane, was described by Sweden Rock Magazine as “so catchy it could be a hit!”, and the album received a glowing 8 out of 10 review. The Prog Mind also praised it as “amazing,” calling it “a wonderful record, haunting and full of soil and grime, but in the best way possible.”
The band members today are: Öivin Tronstad-Vocals Cia Backman-Vocals Carl Westholm-Vocals, bass, electric piano, organ, synthesizers, theremin and programming Ulf Edelönn-Guitars Jonas Källsbäck-Drums (Replacing Lars Sköld from the 1st album)

^ Songs from the debut album are regularly featured in "The Prog Files" on ISKC Rock Radio. Good stuff, someone from the Neo Team will pick this up shortly, I've no doubt about that.
