I was in a Kentucky Fried Chicken last week, when I became aware of the music which was playing. It wasn't the usual recent hits & other muzak, it was actually some good stuff from the 70's. Next minute, I find I'm hearing

When flicking through the channels on the TV, I came across this series, "Gilmore Girls" (it bites actually, the mom is kinda hot though) and there's this group of kids having a jamming session at this garage and somehow the chords go wrong and this guy

Living in this part of south america, is very (and I mean very) strage to hear prog music on the radio. Fortunately, we have a great program that every rock fan would ever dream to hear. It's called "El Museo del Rock" (The Rock Museum) from a Radio cal

Really good documentary about the rise and fall of the Sex Pistols on BBC 3 last night - and it included a chunk off a Rick Wakeman album of the period and several minutes of Wakeman talking about how he hadn't in fact got the Sex Pis

Peter, you're spot on! One of the soaps used Kraftwerk for exactly the same circumstances...I was pretty young when I heard it, but luckily one of my older siblings had already indoctrinated me

Oh, I also must add that I was watching "School of Rock" with Jack Black in it, and was surprised when he gave the kids, 2112 by Rush, Fragile by Yes, and there was another one I think, but I forget. Anyway, it made me feel good.

Hey, I forgot. ELP's cover of "Hoedown" used to be the theme music for the Detroit Red Wings hockey team back in the 70's. They also used "One Little Victory" from Rush during the Stanely Cups a few years back.

I was watching the winter olympics a few years back and the team(or co-ed) figure skating was on and one of the routines was done with the intro to Shine On You Crazy Diamond. It was a very nice routine.

I heard Marillion's Lavender on a gardening show ( a special on lavender), It was completely out of place, the producer is probably a hugh fan. The music was way to loud, I'm sure all the viewers but one were annoyed by the omnip

My friend told me about this scene in Buffalo '66 (Vincent Gallo) where Christina Ricci is dancing and singing 'Moonchild'. Two Yes songs were also used in the movie - 'Sweetness' and 'Heart of the Sunrise'.

I listened to ELP's "Hut of Baba Yaga" in school. Our topic was "program music" (probably wrong translation of german programmmusik) and we listened to 4 different versions. For that reason we also listened to Alan Parson's "Fall of the house of usher"
