I think that if Mr. Bungle is here, it's reasonable to add this band.

Hmmm... Not quite sure. I don't really see how Bungle's presence justifies their inclusion, with the exception of the track "Desert Search For Techno Allah" which SC3 have basically spun several albums out of, whilst removing the sense of fun.

^ don't dismiss them that easily. Book M also has some DJing and drum loop experimentation, I give you that. But they are also using a variety of really unusual and obscure acoustic instruments that most other bands haven't even heard of:

The musicians (Details in the liner notes) :
Fatima - santur
Timb Harris - violin, viola
Danny Heifetz - drums, dumbek, riq, zils, zil stick
Eyvind Kang - violin
Bär McKinnon - saxophone
Shamou - darbuka, riq
Jason Schimmell - cumbus mandolin, acoustic guitar
Tim Smolens - bass, contrabass, cello
Trey Spruance - guitars (acoustic, electric, microtonal,12-string), cumbus baglama, electric sitar, saz, tar, dumbek, zither, keyboards, electric piano, organs, bass, percussion, trumpet, programming, electro, sampler
William Winant - concert toms, frame drum, cymbals, bass drum, zil stick, ankle bells

Check out this page:

and listen to the samples of Book of Horizons, and Second Grand Constitution.

BTW: They are currently touring with Sleepytime Gorilla Museum ... I'd love to see those two bands on stage.
