I decided to go for a wander at lunchtime today - things are pretty quiet at work - and popped into my favourite second-hand CD shop here in Glasgow. One disc immediately caught my eye, and based completely on what I've read here on Prog Archives I reached into my wallet and handed over £4 ($6) for Solaris' "Martian Chronicles". So what can I look forward to when I get home and give it a spin?

SOLARIS IS AN EXCELLENT BAND, MARTIAN CHRONICLES IS AN EXCELLENT ALBUM, BESIDES NOSTRADAMUS BOOK OF PROPHECIES, THIS ARE THEIR BEST WORK, QUIT GOOD MUSIC, AND WONDERFUL CONCEPT. ------------- Follow me on twitter @memowakeman |

Solid symphonic prog, maybe a little cheesy but given the state of sypmh-prog in the 1980s, not bad at all. Used to be a favorite of mine, actually. Nostradamus is also decent but IMHO the rest of their catalog that I've heard isn't worth your time. ------------- http://www.progreviews.com/">
