The best indie is the Arcade Fire, Hot Hot Heat, and Metric. I'm not really into it, but it provides some good listening. It's the only style of music more that is more 'unique' than prog. And the Arcade Fire have genius lyrics- I'd actually say as good as Pink Floyd, if not better. I woke up with the power out, I woke up on the darkest night, I went out into the night. I'm currently listening to The Waifs. Purchased the cd a few weeks ago and still can't go a day without hearing it again. Great folk music. I can't say enough good things about them. Another good one is The Mike Plume Band.
