Don`t get me wrong, I like this album, but if you listen to it and remember what the band behind that album it`s make you sad, personally I choose Big Generator of Yes, because I hate Trevor Ravin in the part of Steve Howe, I hate the way they dress in the live tour, they look like DURAN DURAN.

Another vote for Big Generator, closely followed by We Cant Dance.
There's a couple there I haven't heard.

My vote goes to that unforgettable gem: "We can't dance (or play music)". I haven't heard many of the other choices (survival instict, maybe?) but I think it is difficult to "improve" this jewel by Phil & Co.

Picked the wrong ELP album IMO. Love Beach has some good moments. In the Hot Seat is the worst, with Emerson only on a couple of tracks. Very sad recording.

As I say Snow Dog, It`s a good album, but not good enought for Yes, it`s overproduced like everythinh make in the 80`s, and they break with the classic Dean`s Yes logo

He was on al lthe tracks last time I heard it!
Maybe I should have written Emerson only wrote a couple of the tracks. If this is still in error then ignore me I am mad....must re-check Emerson's biography..

Yes it is good enough for Yes, for me anyway!
, it`s overproduced like everythinh make in the 80`s,
Production sounds absolutely fine to me.
and they break with the classic Dean`s Yes logo

I chose Big Generator from the list but maybe I hate The Ladder even more.

That's pretty funny - mentioning the fat drug addicts handball to a Welshman! He was probably quite pleased that we lost.
I must agree with Snowy - Big Generator is not all that bad. The second side of the LP in particular is better than 90125.
From this list I've voted for We Can't Dance but I'm sure there are lots of worse prog CDs than that around.
By the way it's Trevor RABIN, not RAVIN.

I would still vote for 'open your eyes' I thought that was awful. At least 'big generator' has 'Final eyes' and 'Shoot high aim low' and 90125 has 'Hearts' and 'Changes', jeez, 'Open your eyes' barely has a decent song on it....
Does 'In the hot seat ' even count as a prog album, coz that was dreadful too.

Division Bell is a great album (hence no votes against it). Otherwise I've
proudly listened to none of the aforementioned albums.

These are not prog rock albums
Genesis - We Can't Dance
Rush - Vapor Trials
Both artists lost their prog rock status by the 80's. Why do you think Steve Hackett left Genesis; and Rush gave up prog rock when they left Mercury Records.

I can't really comment on Tres Lunas, Rock Island, or Vapor Trails since I've never heard those three. Other than Love Beach and possibly Deseo, none of these albums are bad enough to cause me to vault in front of a moving train. All of them could arguably be considered only prog-like, or just flat out pop (We Can't Dance), which is probably why you have them listed on a poll of worst prog, not necessarily worst album ever (which would be a really fun poll to read in itself). I wonder what kind of responses you'd get to the question, "What is the most disappointing prog album you've ever heard?". I can think of a few:
Asia (first). Loved it actually, but very underrealized potential considering the all-star lineup Drastic Measures (Kansas). Anyone who's read more than 2 of my threads knows I love these guys, but this one was a complete turd. No violin, no Steve Walsh, chessy compositions from John Elephante and his friend Yanni (not really, but it sounded like that). The album title speaks for itself. Lisztomania (Rick Wakeman). I'm not a huge fan of Wakeman's solo stuff anyway (I like most of it, it's just the context is usually too European so some of the lyrics go right past me). This one though is one of the few things I've heard that could have caused me to start drinking again. What a depressing piece of crap! Somebody should have given him a hug in the studio. Remixes (Yes). Some were remixed so much that they weren't even recognizable anymore. I read somewhere that some of the band had their kids, dogs, neighbors, and bookies helping out with the project. It shows.

I voted King Crimson - Beat.
I just don't like any 80's Crimson.

We are missing two Yes albums - Union and The Ladder. For me they bring more disappointment than Big Generator (or Pig Generator as my friend says), for which I voted.
