Hello, I like metal and progressive metal. Some bands I like now and have liked in the past are Black Jester, Psychotic Waltz, Coroner, Skyclad, Holocaust and others. As I am getting older and my tastes are mellowing. Recently I have acquired the new Sieges Even, a few Marillion cds, Genesis- Trick of the Tail, and the Riverside cd. I also have the Pendragon Masquerade Overture from about 10 years back now. My favorite progressive metal band is probably Mekong Delta. I like other metal that is not progressive such as Sodom, Motorhead, and well too many to name. I like jazz/fusion Mahavishnu Orchestra, Billy Cobham, Alphonse Mouzon and Tommy Bolin (not jazz, I know). I am not strictly into progressive and I use the term quite liberally. I am here hoping to discuss music and give and receive reccomendations based on commonalities with other forum members. I would rather not argue the definition of prog or if a band is prog or not if I can avoid it. |

Welcome I like Sieges Even, Psychotic Waltz, Marillion, Genesis, and Skyclad quite a bit. I haven't heard of the others so maybe I'll check them out sometime soon.  -------------

If you want a reccomendation do not hesitate to ask. I do reccomend you get some Mekong Delta asap (one of my favorites). They just released a compilation cds as well. Is that Megaman on guitar? |
