I am looking to purchase the album "Moyshe McStiff and the Tartan Lancers of the Sacred Heart" and wondered if it was like Comus/Jan Dukes de Grey?  They had an album before this too, which maybe worth tracking down.

This is an official re-release too.  It's Clive Palmer's band I gather and he was originally in the Incredible String Band.

Anymore information on this would be grateful.  Could this also be added to the archives?

Can I refer you to my reply in your 'Urban Spacemen' thread. Thanks for your enthusiasm - however,I wish it was as easy as just saying "Could this also be added?".

Cheers

Indeed, I was asking mainly for feedback on whether to buy their CDs though.  As they're not in the archives, I wasn't sure where to post.

Clive's Original Band and not Clive's Own Band is a very quiet folk affair , although highly rated amomg vinyl collectors. I have seen CD bootlegs around, but so far, I think no official rejlease.

I would compare COB with Forest or Vashti Bunyan, but not with madmen Jan Dukes De Grey. Completely acoustic and very reflective. Can also be likened to the very quieter Magna Carta.

I was afraid you were requesting the addition of Children of Bodom. Phew!
