Well Wolf, I checked them out and they're better than I had thought they would be, but I don't see myself shelling out 60 zlotys for a CD, sorry.

I liked one part of Bat Country that they play when you win the Stanley
Cup in NHL 2006. Other than that, the rest of the song is
horrible.

Sorry for bringing up this post but I have been listening to Avenged Sevenfold recently. "City of Evil" is a great album. If you get past the fact that you are listening to a band that's on MTV than you probably would like it. I love how people TRY to dismiss them just because they're popular. They have some very prog metal (prog power metal?) songs. All in all if you like Guns N Roses mixed with some Metallica/ DT/Iron Maiden than you probably would like Avenged Sevenfold. Not to mention the fact that it's a concept album.

Eh.....not the worst thing I've heard, not by a long shot. But I would not say I like them.

I have Sounding the Seventh Trumpet and Waking the Fallen. I liked the albums at first, the music is pretty good at least in comparison to their competition these days but the singing is terrible throughout. The band got old quick for me.

Well, I've known Avenged Sevenfold since the release of Waking the Fallen. I thought it was a rather good album, though the vocals got on my nerves sometimes. Their compositional skills are above average (especially at their level of popularity), but I personally think they are too pretentious and the music doesnt do anything for me. Waking th Fallen has by now gotten old, and I could barely get through one listen of the new album. I can see how metal fans adore them, but I have never liked Metallica, Maiden, or any of those bands.
