PIRANA was an Australian band who released two really nice albums of pure progressive rock with some Santana influences at the beginning of the seventies.

Personnel:

  • Tony Hamilton - Guitar, Congas, Vocals
  • Graeme Thompson - Bass
  • Stan White - Hammond Organ, Piano, Vocals
  • Jim Yonge - Drums, Tymbalis
  • Keith Greig - Organ
  • Andy James
  • Richard McEwan - Guitar, Vocals
  • Andrew McCue - Keyboards, Flute
  • Paul Spetter - Drums
  • Phil Hitchcock - Bass

Albums:

  • Pirana - (Harvest SHVL - 602) 1971
  • Pirana II - (Harvest SHVL - 609) 1972

45s:

  • Here It Comes Again / Find Yourrself A New Girl (Harvest HAR 9457) 1971
  • I Hope You Don't Mind / Funny Games ( Harvest HAR 9734) 1971

Both albums were re-released by Progressive Line in 2002 in one CD.

Could PIRANA be included in PA?
