ARGENT was a very interesting prog band of the first half of the seventies. The band's leader, keyboardist Rod Argent, is a great musician, which has nothing to envy to "Keyboards Kings" like Emerson, Wakeman, Banks and Moraz, to name a few.

So, which album do you prefere?

Encore is definitely the best thing they've done; Includes all their proggier stuff except two tracks (River on Deep and another on Nexus) , plus a superb version of Zombies Time Of The Season

From Studio albums, I would point to Nexus and In Deep as their best album

All together is way over rated and that Love Suite is going nowhere

Hold Your Head Up is one of the all-time great progressive singles.

In case you are wondering , guitarist Russ Ballard did a few solo records among which Barnett Dogs and Into The Fire are the best. Never too far away from a very slight disco tingue in some tracks (due to the years he released those albums), he had some brilliant RNR tracks too!
