I understand that they've released other albums, but these are the two I want to compare at the moment.

I absolutely love Black Oni, and I'm giving Five Suns a first spin right now.

I think they are both equally incredible

I pretty much like all the bands on Ipecac Recordings

They're both brilliant albums - Black Oni is a better realised large scale work, but 5 Suns has a much more immediate impact. Also, 5 Suns is the first part of a trilogy that continues with Black Oni, so that's probably the best to start with.

For live performance they've expanded to a 4 piece with Cardiacs guitarist Kavus Torabi and the last time I saw them they were white hot. They're playing NEARFest this year and I think they're planning their first US tour around it. They've also talked about teaming up with Mike Patton for a one off performance (they've supported Fantomas in Europe a few times now) which would really be something to see.

There's also a sister band called Misma and the Carousel of Headless Horses, who are also worth checking out - I must get round to adding them here soon.

I voted for Five Suns, but I do not think I let Black Oni sink in enough, so it may change.

And I recommend 'Miasma and the Carousel of Headless Horses', as Syzygy mentioned. They definitely belong here.

Love both albums, but Black Oni is my favourite.  Really looking forward to Elixirs.
