Thanks.

I wouldn't say I'm a hardcore fan but I really admire 'Control and Resistance'

I'll leave the Watchtower to Jehova's witnesses.

That's a really good album. I just need to hear the debut but it's impossible to find.

Actually, it's very easy, since it has been re-released. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00067WGMC/sr=8-1/qid=1140535708/ref=pd_bbs_1/104-7459839-2645544?%5Fencoding=UTF8 - try this !
I have the second edition of the Institute of Art release, (with the blueish cover), that's a rare one!

I did download it back when it was still out of print, and it didn't impress me all that much. Partly because it just isn't so good as Control & Resistance, and partly because those drums sounds are annoying.

The debut was incredible those days, I remember hearing Tyrants in distress the first time, it blew me away, there was nothing to compare to.
Although the step to Control and Resistance is huge, especially because of Ron Jarzombek who pushed the level and had a huge influence on the sound, I love his fusion-clinical sound.

Up to date I think they were the most original extreme metal band. I love Cynic, Spiral Architec etc.  but they lack this clearity that WatchTower have in hit songs like Eldritch or Fall of Reason, very clean structures and a complete presence of all instruments.

I didn't like Control and Resistance at first, but it's grown on me and become one of my most memorable prog-metal albums for sure.  Great stuff once you get the hang of it.

Energetic Disassembly is still in the "growing" stage with me, though it seems definitively weaker than its follower thus far.

Have only heard Control & Resistance so far, but I really want to check out their debut!

I have C&R on CD, and I think it's brilliant. 4.5/5

Control and Resistance is a very good release. Personally, I do not have any problems with the vocals I think this band is admirable.

This is the only Watchtower's album I've heard but I am eagering to listen more material from them..!
