Oceansize are not exactly Prog I know, but with influences of Radiohead and Tool they sure are progressive in their sound. I saw this band last night and despite major technical hitches they pulled off a brilliant show. To say they are loud is an under statement they absolutely blew every ones socks off with their epic spacey post rock tunes. Oceansize with no less than four guitarist created dynamic, sonic, sweeping music and at times sounded like a heavier version of Mogwai until the bass and drums take over and they then become truly original. The lead vocalist could have been clearer but the backing vocals helped the tunes to take on a lovely melodic feel.

So with epic songs and numerous time changes, complex layered music they are certainly a band that folks here should check out
