To my shame I must admit I have no Rush albums, except for compilation and live recordings, I'm a huge fan of the band though.

my favourite is the DVD Rush in Rio, (which album is natural science from, I can't find it somehow). The version of YY

Hey. I'm a big Rush fan and sometimes I get a big "ruffled" at Geddy's early vocals. I can understand how some get turned off. From Permanent Waves forward, Geddy tones it down a bit and gets into human vocal ranges.

Rush probably would've been one of the biggest bands of the late 70s had it not been for Geddy's voice... I think his voice is cool, but then again I like the band so I come from a biased position.

Hey SN, Rush was HUGE in the late seventies. At least in the northern states. Everyone I knew in High School (damn, I'm old) was way into Rush. Were you alive in the seventies or just a tadpole on the wait?   editID>danbo38

On topic, Hemispheres is too short, it's only what 32 minutes or something?

This dates back to when albums were on

In the words of Peter Hammill..Records should be between 40-45 minutes long...anything shorter isn't fair to the consumer and most people don't have the patience for anything longer...

not that he followed these rules very well!!

In all fairness, if La Villa Strangiato is a normal rock song (good or not), I'm Geddy Lee.

Hey Geddy Lee...why are you such a talentless bunc?!

whether you appreciate him or not, anyone who can sing, play bass, AND play keyboards at the same time and not fk it up on stage deserves some respect.

I love Geddy Lee! I think he's one of the most talented musicians ever... his bass work is awesome, and even if he isn't Keith Emerson or Rick Wakeman, its cool to see him handle bass, synth, and vocals onstage all at once, he's really half the band...

Yes, and only 4 songs. 2 of which were quite long however.

The epic doesn't seem to have enough depth, it may be just a production thing but after the first couple of times I listened to it it didn't really hit me, certainly compared to part I on A Farewell to Kings.
