I am still not sure about the title of the new album, but I have faith in Tool that this is going to be an amazing album.  I can't wait until May 2nd, 2006!  I have waited for this day since Lateralus came out almost exactly five years ago!

"The artwork for the upcoming Tool album is going to the separators/printers today, therefore it will eventually be leaked out that the name of the album is (drum roll.......) ' 10,000 days '

... so there it is. "

That is from the official Tool website, but it is this little blurb buried on the front page.

I think the guys in Tool are messing with everyone,I don't think that will actually be the name.

I agree, they do love to screw with their fans.

why 10,000? why not 10,007? why does it always have to be an even number?

10,000 Days...

Isn't that a reference to the amount of time we have to wait between albums?

Seems like it...

Man I can't friggin wait to hear the new styles!

yeah, i have never been this excited about an album before. As for the name, it may or may not be the "real" album title, but tool did say that the new album wasn't going to have a "spiritual" or "mathematical" title....

by the way, is anyone in the southern California area ( or for that matter, anyone on earth) going to see tool perform at coachella.
My band and I are driving across the u.s. to see them, georgia to california.

I would advice you not to be so certain about the album title. Just look at the names they gave to their previous albums and compare. And also Tool are well known for their tricks of making certain fake stuff public. I once read in an interview, that they didn't give a single copy of promo Lateralus to anyone, even friends, and additionally, they released some fake stuff with fake names on the net and people were actually thinking that was the new Tool album.

Anyway, if the title appears to be eventually true, it certainly seems to be a big disappointement. Reminds me a bit of 3 Doors Down last album, "Seventeen Days" :P

Same tracklisting on the toolband.com site as well. Another joke? I don't believe anything before I have the cd in my own hands.
