What's it for you ... do you use Napster to listen to prog music? I do - and I'm quite pleased with their selection. Right now I think I have access to more than 1000 prog albums for just 10 EUR/month ... a damn good deal if you ask me. Sure, you can't keep the files once you cancel the subscription - but why would I want to cancel it? Buying these albums would cost me 10,000 EUR, and can be a subscriber for more than 80 years (!) before the total subscription cost would exceed that purchase price. I used to have an extensive list of the current prog artists - just to give you an idea I'll give you some numbers from my winamp:

^ yes, sure ... my apologies if people from other countries than USA, Canada, UK and Germany feel left out. Let's hope that Napster will be available in these countries soon! ^Yes. It's rather galling it's not available here because the way you describe Napster it seems like a great deal. |
