HI GUYS, THIS IS CÉSAR INCA.

Allow me to strongly suggest that Chilean band EVOLUCIÓN be switched from symphonic prog to jazz-rock/fusion. This band's style is closer to 80's Chick Corea and Di Meola-era Return to Forever than to Yes, Genesis or ELP. You can notice some influences from "Rain Dances"-era Camel, but mostly, this is a jazz-rock band with somewhat strong progressive nuances.

   Kind regards.

P.D.: I wish a very happy Labour's Day all for those progheads from Europe, Asia, Africa, Oceania and Latin America.

Thanks for letting us know.

2 May: No comments from other forum members so I've made the change recommended by César. I have never heard EVOLUCIÓN, so can't comment.

César, I've incorporated your words into Erik Neuteboom's original biography for the band (see the text under 'Why this artist must be listed under progarchives.com'). No doubt if Erik wants to discuss it further he'll post at some point.

Thank you for everything. Just to make myself clear afterwards, let's compare Evolución to KBB: the latter japanese band is clearly on the jazzier side of symph prog, yet they are more evidently symphonic than Evolución.

  Peace and regards.

I had heavy doubts about putting Evolucion in a category because it has very strong jazzrock hints but also symphonic rock undertones, for me it is no problem to switch Evolucion into the jazzrock/fusion category.
