Which vocalist would you say sounds the most like Robert Plant? I canīt remember all their names, just the bands they are from.

I voted for Fastway, a band from England with a vocalist that sounded just like Plant. The album was called All fired up.

Just checked the name of the vocalist, David King. Fastway was formed by Fast Eddie Clarke after he left Motorhead. Really, the similarity to Plant is amazing, check it out at amazon.com and read some of the reviews.

Lenny Wolf of Kingdom Come tried to sound like Plant and got close (although I agree with Barla that Plant is unique). Kingdom Come as a band tried to fill Led Zeppelins shoes, which were - of course - far too big for them. If you listen to Get It On from their debut album (at least I think it was their debut) you'll here a total rip-off of Kashmir. And if you're fed up with singers (and bands) who try to sound like the mighty Zep, listen to Led Clones by Gary Moore (with an amazing Ozzy Osbourne as vocalist) from the After The War album.

P.S.: I have to admit that I haven't heard Fastway yet.

I loved Dave King's voice, the vocalist for Fastway.Their debut album and All Fired Up got a lot of play from me back in the 80's.The band was "Fast" Eddie Clark(Motorhead/guitar),Jerry Shirley(Humble Pie/drums) and Pete Way(UFO/bass).Way left the band before the first album was released to form Waysted.Incidentally, they were an English band but King was Irish.

He had an awesome voice, strong and powerful, but while you could hear a definite Plant influence I don't think he was a Plant clone.

Lenny Wolf of Kingdon Come was a Plant clone, imo.

I've got that Kingdom Come albums somewhere - it was their debut. Not a bad album, although they did rip off a lot of other bands. Don't remember Get It On sounding like Kashmir thought, I'll have to dig it out.
Anyway, the person who reminds me of Planty the most lately is Jack White of the White Stripes, not so much in the basic sound of his voice but more in the mannerisms. Listen to their last album to see what I mean.

Yeah, I got that Kingdom Come album too. I liked it at the time, but it was taking the p!ss really. Robert Plant certainly thought so. I saw one interview where he said 'It goes beyond a mark of respect' Mind you, he was even more 'up himself' than Lenny Wolf.

I have the Kingdom Come album and wasn't all that convinced it was such a Zeppelin clone as it's been made out to be. Sure, the vocals are heavily influenced by Plant but the music is not that much, imo.

For my money, the most blatant imitation of Plant comes in the shape of Whitesnake's 'Still Of The Night'. A stupendous rocker, but David Coverdale's 'ooh baby's in the middle are absolutely blatant. Same goes for Bob Catley's 'push push push' in Magnum's 'All Of My Life'.
