Yep i have Bob Downes 'Electric city.Bob was a very talented guy,he could play over 20 instrument,his main instrument he excelled in was the Flute & sax...You check Bob out not only by his solo albums but Keith Tippett & Mike Westbrook also he was invoved with James bond music man John Barry.
Still active today but in a slightly different feild.

there are many groups listed on PA that have had records released on the famous Spiral Vertigo label, such as Atlantis, Affinity, Aphrodite's Child, Colosseum (the first), Gravy Train, Gracious!, May Blitz, Manfred Mann Earth Band, Dr.Z, Gentle Giant, Tudor Lodge, Warhorse and Uriah Heep. Some original SV issues are exchanged for many hundreds of pounds these days. Many were unknown groups and sold poorly, which is obviously the reason for their rarity. Their most successful signings were Black Sabbath and Status Quo, who sold extremely well and i would guess provided financial support for other less well known groups. Repertoire Records are in the middle of issuing many of the early Vertigo releases in mini-LP replica sleeves - in some instance they are deliberately trying maintain this rarity thing with limited editions numbering 1500 or 2500 copies.
Favourite Vertigo from the original releases: May Blitz, Keith Tippett Band, Nucleus
Recently discovered favourites because of Repertoires reissues: Patto's self titled album and Hold Your Fire.
Still remain stinkers: Juicy Lucy.

that horrible red boots cover from Legend is another stinker
I hold a major soft spot for the two Nucleus releases especially Elastic Rock >> probably Roger Dean's best work ever
