Is it just me, or does he seem like a real character (in a good way)?  His polls are creative, to say the least, and the conclusions (if not the entireties) of his reviews are always a pleasure to read.  I've been visiting the site for a year or so now, and I don't think any member has made as big a contribution in such a short period of time as he has.

I must say, if I ever venture to Italy, I'd like to meet him and have a discussion about music.

Praises to the Mandrakeroot. Clap

I voted no, but only because I wouldn't like to meet any of my idols.

Although I sometimes get angry with him because of the nonsense polls and because  his album reviews are often difficult to read because of his language problems (it seems that he doesn't care about that, otherwise he could check some words with a dictionary at least), I have to admit that he seems to have a huge knowledge of prog music and classic rock music, so I think he must be an interesting guy to talk with after all.

I have never really been comfortable with threads or polls that deal with specific members.

I'll give you the reviews... I enjoy them.... but the polls....creative.....hahahhah.  That deep purple keyboardist poll was shear genius... Jon Lord vs... who was that anyway....

as far as the question.... sure I'd love to meet him... any fan of Italian progressive... is a friend of mine.

I agree with all the +++s, but I have had cause to wonder whether the prolific  forum topics are more to do with the desire for prolifacy rather than substance . It's just a thought. In other words, posting a topic just for the sake of it.

AND I'd particularly like to meet him if he is a woman!

He uses an online translator. If you tried one e.g. babelfish, you will soon see the sort of rubbish they come out with. Mandy is obviously a very knowledgeable fan of prog and other music.

at the risk once again of spoiling someone's joke............the root of the mandrake plant is usually bifurcated & (to some) resembled a homunculus.......it was said that the dying scream of the mandrake root, when pulled out of the ground, made men mad..........

Yes, that's because he's italian.

el bothy said that Andrea was a female name in Spanish too, well it isn't. In Spanish Andrew= Andrés. Andrea is rarely used but it is a female name in Spanish.
