Very tough choice, but I ultimately went for the one that really made me appreciate the band in the first place: Storm. Fantastic song all the way through.

Sleep for me. LYSFLATH is an incredible album throughout, though.

A tie between Moya and Sleep. Voted for the latter.

Is there a certain way that you prefer to listen to this band, guys? For me it’s late at night or even while taking a nap (no kidding).

I totally agree with you... Is the only way for me to listen that magnificent band (one of my favourite's)... I have the feeling that every time i listen to them during the day (with all these noises of cars and stuff) i spoil their magic.. I dont know why, just a feeling

EDIT : ts,ts,ts...I forgot..I voted for Providence...This piece is a mind bomb..

Very tough decision between Storm and Moya. I picked Storm because it is amazing throughout and just that one part where the violins have been getting progressively louder and then the drums come in. man that is just magic. brings a tear to my eye everytime i hear it.

I prefer to listen to Godspeed while slightly intoxicated and in a relaxive position. I agree with whoever said that listening to Godspeed during the day with all the other noises spoils their magic

It was a close vote for me between Storm and Static. Ended up voting for Static as I think Strom really could have been cut about five minutes short at the end.

Very tough...BBF3, and all of Lift Your Skinny Fists and are competitros for the top, while Moya and much of Yanqui is also top notch. F#A# Infinity is good, but it's the least stunning and consistent.

I can't vote - I'll have to take the time to listen to LYSFLATH and F#A# today. Im leaning towards 09-15-00 (Part One).

I can't talk enough about how good is this band. Flawless beyond believe; but The Dead Flag Blues was the first thing from them I ever heard, so it is more a vote because of emotions; all GYBE is worthy, and it is impossible to define a best moment on their discography...

I didn’t vote myself as well – I want to give all these tracks a few good spins before I do, but at the moment I’m favoring Sleep I’d say.

"Providence" - you never forget your first.

The first time I heard this song it actually left me speechless. There are very few things that have ever done that for me.

Moya - The first song from GY!BE I heard and like so many others here, it left me speechless - completely blown away. I have been a fan ever since hearing this song - there is no other group quite like GY!BE - weird and brilliant!

Which track is it on Lift Yer Skinny Fists that has the recording of the guy talking about seeing the face of God and going insane?

It's got to be Static, the second track.

Thanks... that's my vote then. I wasn't sure if it was on the first disc or second. Big smile

OK, wow. That's downright freaky. I just hit play on random shuffle mode on my iPod, and out of 151 possible tracks...

it was "Static".

Shocked

Dosed off on this one... Still thinking, I mean.

Hmm, interesting, am I the first one to notice that none of your favorite tracks came from the last release of the group? And yet I find the first recording on that album to be one of the sickest (in a good sense) of them all...
