I got recently Proto-kaw's "Early recording of Kansas" and it was even better than I expected. Allmost all tracks are great Imo and I thought this is better than anything Kansas ever done (with the exception of Leftoverture that for me is Kansas' deffinite best).
However to make the discussion more specific I want to speak of the 2 versions of Incomudro. The first is the one in "Song for America" and the second is in Proto-kaw's album. I find both great but the Kansas version uses all kinds of effects like echo while the Proto-kaw version is very clean and pure and I prefer it this way.

What are your thoughts ?

I actually think I prefer the Kansas version, probably due to better production and the voice of Steve Walsh.
