On June 13, I had the chance/privilege/honor to go to St. Paul's Cathedral, London to hear Robert Fripp play. It was one of his 'Churchscape' performances (basically, playing Soundscapes in chruches). It was utterly unbelievably awesome/beautiful! I'm thinking about getting the recording of the concert on DGM (if it ever gets that far!) In the meantime, what Soundscape/Frippertronic albums should I get/listen to in the meantime?

Cheers

Exposure is a good album, it's the only one I own unfortunately.

Exposure is ABSOLUTELY NO soundscape album, please be aware!

For the soundscapes,I recommend good volumes like 1999,Radiophonics,The Gates Of Paradise.

For the frippertonics, the best reference is Let The Power Fall. It's truly wonderful.

PS: I congratulate you for your afinity towards this spark of Fripp. It's worthy and it's subtiled. It's art on hot bread. Clap

Evening Star(1975) and The Equitorial Stars(2004) by Fripp and Brian Eno are amazing soundscapes.
