After the Fire's rare first LP - a great lost progrock classic from
the late 70s - is being reissued by the band. Details are on
www.afterthefire.co.uk ! The six-track album, SIGNS OF
CHANGE, is in the vein of Greenslade, Nice and Genesis, with
lots of meaty Hammond and synthesizers, along with guitar.
The band went on to become a synth-pop/new wave outfit and
sign to CBS, so it's especially welcome to see their progrock
debut reissued. And to be able to afford it - copies on ebay
seem to go for a hundred pounds these days.
