Had a nose round the forums and found that this fantastic band aren't mentioned at all. There are more than a few strange entries, but this band seems to have been overlooked, definitely prog folk. However, their (probably) most famous song was highjacked by the Bay City Rollers, It's a Game.

I am a confirmed fan. THE MACHINE THAT CRIED is an excellent album altho. I'm not familiar with their other releases.Grahame Smith is masterful and the band demonstrates that keyboards are not essential to good prog/folk. ------------- Looking still the same after all these years... mrgd |

Then is it not time the jury made a decision? Spacecraft,
yes the deliberation (as thehead of prog folk team) is still not through, but from what I heard so far and outside one album, most of the rest is rather country-ish (as in US country >> not UK folk . And I have not really found that much on them records to distinguish them as progressive
BUT
If you feel to give me more info as to why they would be progressive , please feel free to point it out,either here or in a PM  ------------- let's just stay above the moral melee prefer the sink to the gutter keep our sand-castle virtues content to be a doer as well as a thinker, prefer lifting our pen rather than un-sheath our sword |
