Orchestral is the 1982's 8 tracks performed by  The New American Orchestra.

Vangelis version.
How could you not prefer the original score performed by The Composer himself?
A seminal film-score if there ever was one!

No way man, the Orchestral version is not an Orchestral versoion of Blade Runner, it's almost a Best of Blade Runner Muzak version for Pop audiences.

6. Blade Runner Blues (4:38)

7. Farewell (3:10)

8. End Title Reprise (3:08)

Total tracks time: 33:16

The Official version is:

18. Trailer and Alternate Main Titles (1:39) Robert Randles

I love Orchestras, but replacing most synths for violins kills the futuristic atmosphere of the original soundtrack.

I will always stay with the original.

This is a no-brainer: Vangelis' score for Blade Runner is among the greatest film scores
ever written, period.

Peace.

well said brother...

though I admit to not having heard the orchestral version.. though I did read your excellent review Andrea..I'll check it out if a copy falls into my lap.  I love Vangelis's music which is PERFECT for the mood and backdrop for one of my favorite movees of alltime.
