This Norwegian avant-garde jazz-rock band is still missing from the archives. I have their 2005 release "In The Kingdom Of Kitsch You Will Be A Monster" which sounds like a mixture between King Crimson and avant-garde jazz. Some of the members of Jaga Jazzist play in this band.

Massive bump, but didn't want to make a new thread. This band definitely deserves to be in the archives, especially now with their excellent new release, Grindstone. I would be willing to write up their discography and bio if that's needed. The link to their website also has a good selection of mp3 samples Smile

Killer sh*t, like NeBeLNeST with a bad attitude. Not sure where they'd fit.. the Avant team might be interested, they might not. Really good band, though

They have already been cleared our team [ZAR], at the moment we are working on the new genre definitions. But I'm quite sure Assaf was interested in adding them.

Thanks.  I love Grindstone, I have the hardcopy version, ordered from Barnes and Noble, the packaging is nothing special, but the music is still A+.

Good news indeed! I don't they'd fit anywhere but Avant-Prog

The bio is half done and it'll take me a few more days, since I have much work right now (non-PA work that is) and I am also working on 5 bands additions for PA.

I'll let you know when it's done. I'm glad to see people like the band.

I added http://www.progarchives.com/Progressive_rock_discography_BAND.asp?band_id=2996 - Shining*  .
Since I only have the two last albums, I could not add the two first ones.
If anyone has the info (track list and lineup, you're welcome to:
1. add it yourself
2. send me the info and I'll take care of it.

Jørgen from Shining has helped me with this additon by sending me some interviews he's done. I asked him for the info on these albums as well.
