Just finished reading the book on Pink Floyd by Nick Mason. I really enjoyed it. It is interesting how much luck plays in the life of a band, especially at the start of a career. It was refreshing to hear an honest appraisal by Nick of the fortunes of the band and of his own drumming! Has anyone else read it... ------------- Allomerus. I think you have to make a review, up to this section, of the book, not a general discussion of who read it and what is the opinion.

I am currently reading this book. I rented it from the Public Library. Very interesting book to read, not only for the Story of Pink Floyd, but also to know how was the rock world in the sixties and the seventies. It was a taugh world and those musicians had to work very hard to achieve something big like PF did. With my reading, I realise that I don't envy those guys and their way of life. It's not for me. It's a very hard life, and sometimes, some are going crazy like Sid Barret .
This book has more than 300 pages with many nice and big pictures. It's a collection book for those who like PF and the seventies music. ------------- C'est la vie |

I thought it was fantastic to get such an honest, complete, revealing insight into a band's rise from a garage band to an underground legend, then cope with the loss of a member, then rise back to become a household name. It was a fantastic read, and I loved all the pictures.
