And the glass handed Kites is their latest album and one which i am enjoying.One review i read referred to it as progressive rock because there are a couple of time changes in one song. This album is certainly a good one and has lovely harmonics in the mode of yes. The lead singer also sings in the upper register and like yes there are some beautiful melodies. However the down side is the guitar work is quite alternative rock in style and while the bass gets a good outing the lad is no squire.
Anyone have an opinion of this enjoyable album? ------------- There stands Olias to outward to build a ship Holding within all we hope to retain The frame will be so built to challenge the universe Clasped with the skins of the fish of the plain |

| I think it's wonderful, and a good example of the so-called "New-Prog/Post-Prog" genre. I think most Prog fans would enjoy it, even purists would probably find something to like in it. |

Mew and PRR appear to be friends to some extent, although their music
isn't overly similair. Give Mew a try though, you might like them. Get
the album And the Glass Handed Kites, and if you like it, get Frengers aswell. |

It's definitely a good album -- not sure would I call it prog per se, but oh well.. I'm not too fussed about genres at this point. They're massively popular in Finland.

I'd say Frengers is Progressive Indie, while AtGHK is Indie-ish Prog.  |

The first 7 tracks seem to flow irresistibly. The seamless merging of the tracks is a standout feature alongside the beautiful melodic vocals. There are some proggish elements in the rhythym section however the guitar work is strictly indie and is the weakest element on this highly commendable piece of work. I would say that this might appeal to symphonic and folk prog fans more than prog metal fans. For reference my favourite prog bands are Yes then a couple of furlongs to Rush Floyd genesis and Elp.
