Hi All!

Why don't I see latest Floyd's double DVD PULSE on the archives? It was released quite some time ago... and I even remember that it was added and then deleted...

Because it's boring. Not as Wall, but still.

Pompei are the best PF DVD. Maybe because they were young

:-)

first of all, this is one of the greatest concerts ever recorded (and I just love Pompei too)...

second, this is not a reason for not including it :-)

I think this is CRAP. Why did they put two totally different releases under ONE?

If the track listings are correct, I wouldn't say they're totally different.

Well, DVD has so many bonus material... and sound and picture quality are simply incomparible. So the reviews should be obviously different... shouldn't they?

^They probably should, but isn't it the same thing with Live at Pompeii, which is also listed only once?

whilst pulse should obviously be in the archives, i'm no fan of it. Its not really floyd is it? More like Gilmore with a billion other musicians trying to make up for the loss of Waters and even then they fall well short of the mark. they make floyd sound like 'classic rock'. Nothing compared to the sheer genius of 'live at Pompeii', probbably the best set list in the bands history

if it's a different release, it should be treated as such imo.

I am no fan of Pulse and find it to be very mediocre, I have not watched/listened to latest re-release of it, but I've heard my friend telling about it, and I am pretty sure that it's much better than previous release, it's better to such extent that will invoke much better reviews and consequently should be treated as different album IMO.

Live at Pompei is no doubt one of the greatest shows ever recorded.  But your comments regarding Pulse are way off.  This is a fantastic live show.  Yea, no Waters.  I would have like them to continue with him as well.  However, the rest of the band was there and they put on one hell of a show.

Can hardly compare the two though.  Very different times and circumstances.  Both still great.

The site policy is that re-releases are not listed separately. There are many LPs which are re-issued as CDs with bonus tracks of course, and the "Pulse" DVD is essentially the same thing.

Feel free to mention your reviews though, anyhting which differentiates the DVD.

How can a DVD be the "same" release as a CD?  Video adds so much to a show...  case in point, I had an audio version of Arena's "Caught In The Act" for a while, but it wasn't until I got the DVD that I appreciated it...  my review was completely different LOL

No, not the same as the CD MOConfused, it's a re-release of the version which was on VHS video.

I believe this Pulse is an edition, done with bonus feature, perhaps improvements etc. As Easy Livin said, policy places such (aproximate or exact) releases under a general view, not under ambiguations, extensions, separations. I support that policy. Thumbs Up
