I can't believe we don't have one of these! What with the "song" and "album" threads...or, do we?

Anyway, I'VE got High Hopes by the Floydsters stuck in MY head.

This is interesting. Prog and fusion by nature are such complex, intellectual musics that sometimes I'll have a riff or melody in my head and I can't immediately recall what artist it's from. It can all run together into one marvelous river of prog and I can't isolate a particular phrase or song.

Oh, come on now...maybe just a little snatch of Song For Jeffrey...or, perhaps, some of Karn Evil 9? Come and see the show?

Well, O.K., sometimes I'll hum a Genesis tune. Actually, Tull are one of the most song-oriented prog bands in the World, God bless 'em.

Right now I've got a organ/keyboardsolo from Wobblers 'Hinterland' stuck firmly on repeat. Wich, thank Bob, isn't too bad. I'd look insane if i ever tried to hum it though :D

Also, I have part of a sentence from Samla Mammas Mannas 'Circus Apparatha': "och lilla tjocka Lisa, MED BEN OCH ARMAR BORTA!" - (trans: 'and little fat Lisa - with legs and arms gone!')

I have this really dissonant, disjointed guitar riff stuck in my head.  I have a gut feeling that it's either Faust or from an improvised Kraftwerk (with Rother and Dinger!) boot I have, but I can't quite pin it down.

Perhaps not, BUT Quad is one of the (VERY) few records I'd call perfect...and besides, everyone needs a guilty pleasure here and there.

Believe it or not, Morgan's 'The Sleeper Wakes', an old organ prog band from 1973. I wanted to write it up so I gave it a whirl. Not a great one but much more interesting than similar contemporaries (like John William's Tempest, or Greenslade).

    Hah, my thoughts exactly

Anyway, what's in my head, let's see. 6 albums froma Finnish girl rock/pop group TikTak. I've taken the challenge of listening to all their albums every day of the month. That's about 73 songs per day and has lasted 2/5 weeks already. yeah, it's messing up my head and I can't consentrate, and they're playing in my head simultaneously. Right now I'm listening to them again.
